I know this isn’t a typical “post” from me, but I felt compelled to share my big takeaways from the Usborne Books & More National Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I know I met MANY new faces at Convention and I hope a few of you are reading this! If you were not at Convention, let me just tell you what you missed: Inspirational speakers. Priceless connection with other like-minded uzzies. ENERGY. Hot meals. My bed was made for me. And, yes – there was some wine consumed. I can’t possibly convey and share everything that took place at convention, but I *can* promise you that you want to be there next June. Set aside $50 a month and make the commitment that you will be sharing some wine with me!

In the meantime, I put together a short video sharing what I learned from my second UBAM National Convention. Here are my major takeaways:

1 – I “need” Convention in my life. Having the time and space to focus on myself and my business.

2 – Most of my big, ah-ha moments and “learning” took place outside of the official sessions in side conversations with amazing leaders.

3 – It hit me that I have goals, but need to articulate my vision of where our team is going.

4 – To carry out my vision, I need to have focus. Only what fuels my vision will be on my success list. Everything else is a distraction.

5 – We are part of a movement. Hearing from Peter Usborne, Randall White, the home office staff and being with my “people” reaffirms that we are part of a much bigger picture.
