Ready, Set, Launch
Okay — now that we have our goals for the first 30 days, let’s talk about how we’re going to reach them. First off: go grab your calendar or planner so we can map this out!
I highly recommend you truly LAUNCH your business. Let’s not be quiet about it or secretive about it. Let’s make a splash! And, no – this does not involve posting canned Facebook messages as your status update with 79 emojis; nor does it include obnoxious spamming by adding your poor friends to a VIP group without their permission. In fact, we’re going to do completely the opposite. Let’s launch gracefully. Let’s be classy about it. Trust me, your pals will appreciate you and your new business SO much more. And, you’ll begin building a customer base that that will soon become repeat customers!
Watch this short video to learn:
- What to do and NOT to do when launching your biz

This training is jam-packed with the essentials you need to ensure your business thrives and is sustainable from the very start.
Becky’s Bonus Tip: Think outside the box when inviting guests to your party and reach outside your immediate circle of friends. Grandparents are some of my best customers!

My launch date is March 13th!!
YAY! So awesome! Hope it goes great!
Ok so my Launch Party is set for Sunday evening at 9:00 pm EST. I am super nervous and excited all at the same time. I also have two Facebook parties scheduled for Oct. 4 and Oct. 7!!! Eek! Nervous about those as well.
Yay! You’ve got this!
My flirt launch was set for the 5th, yep I bombed it !😢 I didn’t feel as if I could represent usborne and it’s amazing adventure through the books as I know I can….so, here I go !!! This Tuesday !!! I got this one and feel amazing and ready for even one guest with hopefully a party booked, lol !!! Seriously I am going to rock it !!!
It’s all about MINDSET – you can do this!
I just scheduled my first two FB launch parties for July 8th and July 11th. The training material said it would be best to schedule two launch parties so my guests could have a second option if they can’t make it, but I LOVE your idea of having parties for specific groups of people. Thanks for your videos, you break down the training material well and make this feel so much more personal and possible:)
Great job, I’m sure they are going to be FANTASTIC!
My launch party is June 26th. I’m trying to get all my training done beforehand so I can be ready for that day. I’m overwhelmed and nervous, but looking forward to see the outcome.
You are totally going to rock this!
My Launch date is set for June 20th !! Super excited and nervous! I also have a facebook party scheduled for July 2nd!
I LOVE getting personalized snail mail! What are you opinions on developing a postcard online and mailing invites to friends/family each with a personal touch? Too much? Not necessary? I was thinking the postcard could have my business page/facebook page, etc. on it. Maybe a good piece to add to the fridge? hmmmm…..
Hi Samantha! That sounds like a great idea! Give it a try, and see what kind of results you get! I personally handwrite thank yous that I mail out.
My launch date is June 14th!
My party I was hosting turned into my launch party half way through so it was kind of a bust since I had no clue what I was supposed to be doing so needless to say I was really encouraged when you said to have a series of launch parties!
We are looking at March 14, may need to think about pushing it back. Just want enough time to get everything set up right and not with half way effort. We will see, I’m really putting in some good effort this weekend to get my training done.
You’ve got this!
My launch party is scheduled for March 22nd! Super excited and nervous!!!!
I absolutely LOVE the idea of doing a series of smaller group parties! As I am going through my contacts and FB friends I can see how I could group everyone. I also love the idea of inviting everyone on a personal level. I have been added to those VIP FB groups that you were talking about and I do get annoyed cause it’s products I have never bought and don’t have interest in. Thanks Becky for these wonderful videos and this awesome training website!!!
My first launch party is March 15th I’m not sure yet on the second. I’m nervous/excited about it.
You’ve got this!
my first fb party will be on March 4th! I’m excited and hopefully everything will goes smoothly!
Hi Kelly, butterflies are to be expected but you’ve got this! Practice, prepare and just be yourself. You’ve got this!
Launch date set for March 1! Excited to talk books with my friends and family!
Woohoo!!!
My first launch party was 1 February and my 2nd launch party was 7 February. The first one did better in sales than the first, but between the two I was able to book 4 parties and sell almost $700. I did my first booked party on the 8th and while sales were low, I was able to book 3 more parties and one link. My 2nd hosted party is on Tuesday 13 February and I am really excited about it! Both of my hosts have been fantastic and I’ve had a lot of fun planning/inviting/coaching and making my OWN graphics for some of the posts!
It was set for March 1st, I sent out personally messages to all my guests already and and got great responses, was enthusiastic about these books being wonderful Easter basket stuffers 🙂 Theres a chance we will move it up a week but still working with my sponsor to decide
Launch party will be February 9 @ 8:30 EST!
Let us know how it goes!
Debating either 11 or 18 FEB (would like to have some books on hand from my kit first to be able to review/get authentically excited about!)
I already had a FB party scheduled for Monday (Feb 5th) so we are turning that into my Launch Party. Fingers crossed!
Woohoo!! How did it go?!?
Pretty good. I have 2 bookings and am SUPER close to double earnings. We’re keeping my party open for a little longer to hopefully get another order to push me over the goal.
Thinking sometime in the beginning of February! Maybe the 8th???
That’s coming up! How is it going? Keep us posted!
I’m buying my kit on Sunday so my plan is to have my facebook launch party on Sunday, January 28th. I also have a good lead on a home party as well for the “grandparent” group because the hostess is concerned about the technology aspect.
You’ll be great. Have fun with the home party! Make sure to connect with each customer, provide recommendations and ask each customer if they’d like to host for free and half off deals!
I had my Launch Party about 2 weeks ago, but I’m planning on having a few more. Should I reinvite those who rsvp’d but did not go?
Yes! That’s a great idea! You can just send a friendly message like — “I know how busy life gets so no worries you couldn’t make the book party! I’m hosting two more — one on Tuesday and another on Sunday… would one of those dates work better for ya? I don’t want you to miss out on all the fun!”
I just had a party a couple of weeks ago and have decided to join the Usborne team but I already invited everybody I could think of to that party. I want to start in February but I would feel odd inviting a) people who just bought books from my party a couple months before b) people who were interested but didn’t find anything to purchase or c) people who “ignored” my initial invite. What do you suggest?
Hi Laura, I highly encourage consultants to form a “VIP Group” on Facebook! (See: https://youtu.be/2xZNkh9R7Ag) It’s a great way to engage with and then encourage those same friends who came to your party to consider hosting parties of their own without being salesy or pushy!
Very helpful video, thank you.
Of course!
Hey Becky!
I am so glad that I found your site! Super helpful! I just joined Usborne on my own and don’t have a team or leader :/ I am wondering where I can get graphics or see a script! Super excited but also nervous since I don’t have any guidance! PLEASE HELP 🙂
I’m hoping to do my launch sometime next week!
Hi Emily! I’m so glad we connected. I’m happy to have “adopted” you! 😉 You did an amazing job in your launch! Let’s keep the momentum up through December! Glad you’re part of Team bookHAPPY!
I will be doing my FB party on the 28th of Nov and a home party on the 3rd of Dec. I am also considering doing a series of FB parties like you suggested.
Hey Becky! If we do a series of launch parties, should we still think of having about 25 guests at each party?
25 is a GREAT goal but a smaller group is fine! The key is having enough people who want to participate to create energy and fun interaction!
I am going to do a FB launch on November 14 and an “in-home” launch on November 23 (I will have the members of my family who do not use FB take a peek at our catalogs and potentially order).
think am going to aim for a series of parties for November instead of one Big One 🙂
My first launch party is set for Sun Oct 22nd. So excited!
Hope your Launch party went well 🙂
My 1st Launch Party is going to be on FB this Thursday! I’m currently working on getting everything set up!
Woo-hoo!!! It’s going to be a blast!
I just received my kit and have been chatting with my Team Leader! I’m looking into early September for my first launch ~ I really want to have a home party first and then offer the FB a few days later for additional RSVPs or those who couldn’t attend the Home party! Although I do not have a lot of space in my home, I have a lovely yard/patio which I plan to set up with books and snacks!
My launch party was last night. I have 23 days left in my 1st 30 days. I messaged 75 people. Invited 50 of them. I had 22 people rsvp. And I had around 12 people actively participate in the live party. I had planned on doing a 2nd launch next week, however, I got 4 maybe 5 bookings from my launch. I am now faced with getting them all in my schedule. Good problem to have but took me by surprise!
Thanks for sharing your numbers! I feel like that is pretty average attendance, but SUPER AWESOME results on the bookings post! Yay! So excited for you!
I was kind of disappointed in the RSVP numbers. I remember feeling that disappointment when I hosted too. I thought sharing how many people don’t follow through may make someone else feel less defeated because I am seeing it is pretty normal.
I just had my first winch party:). I’m planning another one in about a month!
Awesome! Yup, multiple launch parties is definitely a key to success!
My Launch Party is July 9th!! Can’t wait to get it started! Thanks to Kate Bailey for all her help!!!
Awesome, Nancy! I hope it went great. Kate is the best! 🙂
My launch party will be Tuesday, July 11! 🙂
woohoo! I hope it went great, Laura!
My launch party date is this Sunday, July 9th! My birthday!
I am excited for this!
I hope it went great, Kristina!
I am tentatively setting my launch date for July 20th! Super excited!
And, you rocked it! 😉
woohooooo!
In order to try and make my first goal, I will set my party for July 6th at 8:30. I am still trying to figure out if I should do separate launches or one big Fundraiser. That will affect the number of people I reach out to.
Sounds like you’re off to a great start!
I would really like to get started and have a party this Sunday July 1st at 8:30 but wonder if I should hold off until I get my books?
Let’s do it!! 🙂 It’ll be a “soft launch”!
I have a tentative Launch date of July 2nd. I’m a little nervous, but mostly excited! My sponsor has been amazing, so I know she’ll be able to get me through. Thanks Kate Bailey! You rock! 🙂
Kate is the BEST! You’re in good hands! 🙂 I’m sure you will rock it!
Just had my launch but booked 5 off it so my one all by myself is July 5th! EEEKKK!
wow!!! That’s amazing! Congrats! 🙂
June 22nd! 2 days to go! EEk!
It’s going to be great! So exciting!
My Facebook launch party is May 25th at 8:00 PM!! Shannon Savage is hosting and helping me with my launch and I am suuuper excited! I’ve already reached out to all my guest 🙂 I have some replies and still waiting to hear on others!! My goal is to build a new library for my daughter and the children I babysit AND to get kids off of those devices and into books again! <3
That’s amazing, Shannon!! Best of luck with your launch party. I think it is going to be awesome! I can “hear” your enthusiasm! 😉
I appreciate this video so much. My set of friends are the type who make fun of direct sales and want nothing to do with mass invites. So I need to be very careful when prepping for my launch party.
It’s amazing how it makes a WORLD of difference when you personally invite!
FB Launch Party is scheduled for 4/27 @ 7:30. Working on my invite list now and planning to personally invite everyone listed. I also have several folks who may be interested in ordering via catalog. Gotta get to work!!!
Hi Becky! I’m “re-launching” on April 28th! It is NOT going to be your typical launch party as I’m trying something different by reaching outside my circle of friends and reaching INSIDE my husband’s circle of friends. 🙂 We are doing a Battle of the Host/Hostess Event for my re-launch. Hubby vs. Myself… to see who will be crowned the best host/hostess. My hubby can be pretty competitive when it comes to something like this, so I’m hoping that it will help me get some more bookings.
That’s great, Lisa! Re-launching is a good place to be! Love the battle with your hubby, hehe! Let us know how it goes!
Right now, I have a home launch party on Easter Sunday, April 16. I am working on dates for my FB launch parties.
Yay, Audette!! That will be the best! We need to nail down your FB launch dates, too, girl! 😉 Get that baby to nap tomorrow so we can pick a date!
Set my launch party for March 30th!
Nice, Kendra!! One week away – yipeeee!! You’re going to have a ton of fun!
My launch party is on March 26! ????????
Woohoooo!!! T-minus 4 Days! 🙂 You got this!
My Launch is tomorrow night, April 16th! I am excited and hope it goes well!
WOOHOO! Can’t wait to hear how it went! 🙂 I bet you did awesome!
