Hello, New Website
As a new Usborne Books & More consultant, home office has provided you with your very own website. Yay! Here are a few helpful tips about your website:
Your eCommerce URL is http://YOURUSERID.myUBAM.com (Your user ID was provided in your initial email from home office welcoming you to the team. It’s likely a a letter + 4 numbers). This is the site you will share with your customers to do their shopping!
Watch this short video to learn:
- Creating your file (photo and contact information) visible for customers
- Setting up shopping links for your parties and book fairs
- Viewing and creating customer wish lists
Becky’s Bonus Tip: Consider CinchShare to help you schedule your posts so you don’t forget!
Your To-Do List:
- Watch this 8-minute video on setting up your first party and shopping link.
- Leave a comment below with any questions you have about your eCommerce site,
- Download the 30 Day Launch Workbook.
Thank you! This has helped so much. I’m beginning to not feel so clueless.
You are welcome – you’ve got this!
I got this! Thanks for the overview tough!
Hi – just want to be sure I understand correctly…I create one “launch” event on my website and then link each party in my series of launch parties I host (online or in-person) to that single launch event? And then close out before my 12 weeks are up? And if someone hosts a party during my 12 weeks, I create a separate event on my website for their party, so they get the rewards?
Thanks for the helpful info! So any orders that are done during the first 30 days count towards those rewards and you don’t need to “cash out” the party during those 30 days for the orders to count towards the 30 day rewards?
Any orders done in your first 12 weeks count toward your WYOSS rewards. You do need to cash out your party before the 12 weeks are up to make sure you get your double hostess rewards. The kit refund is in the first 30 days. 🙂
I think I’ve got it! Thanks for the very helpful videos.
Hi Becky! If I design my own website with my own company name, am I required to brand the website using the Usborne official colors and fonts, or can I have my own company branding for the website itself? I know when I use the Usborne logo I need to use the official ones, but I don’t want my personal website to be limited to their colors and fonts.
Hi Lindsey! I would check out the branding guide to be sure, but I believe you can have your own branding on a personal website. My website is http://www.beckysbookcorner.com and my brand definitely complements the official UBAM branding, but I have use my own fonts, colors and images.
Do we eventually have to pay to maintain this website, or is it free if we are bringing in a certain level of income/maintain a level? Thank you!
The website is free for your first 6 months then it is $8 per month after that. As long as you’re working your biz, you’ll cover that with no problem at all! 🙂
I was able to upload my pic but it was landscaped. Need to figure out how to rotate it backwards. Hubby is the tech savvy one so I’ll ask him tomorrow. Can I create my own FB page??
Nice!! Yea, you could create your own FB page or group, too!
To clarify, do I leave my launch party open for my full incentive period? Or does it matter?
Hi Kendra! You’ll want to hold out on cashing in on those launch party hostess rewards for as long as you can! You can add random orders onto it outside of parties, maybe you’ll do a second order, maybe you’ll have a few personal orders. During that time, all of those orders can be attributed to that first launch event link that you set up. Then, you’ll definitely want to “cash out” your rewards right before your 12 weeks are up so you can enjoy the double hostess rewards. 🙂 If you want to close out sooner and get your free / half-off books, you can do that, too!
Well I thought it would be easy to add my photo to my page. I uploaded and saved it but its not showing up under consultant it only shows up when I go into Edit profile. I’m going to watch the video again make sure I didn’t miss something.
ohhh I heard some others were having some issues with that, also. It might be broken. I’ll have to ask around.
I’m having the same problem as Jen Helm.
Bummer. I think that might be broken for now! I’ll let you know when I hear it is fixed.
I’m also having issues uploading a photo. It doesn’t give me any kind of option to do so.
Hmmm… seems like home office hasn’t fixed this yet. Bummer!
